Black Foods for Kidney Strength

After arriving in Oahu from Maui, Great Minds think alike.   I brought Suzanne Sprouted Black Lentils, and she surprised me with a delicious drink. Watch to find out what!

Here is a link for how to sprout black sesame seeds. Getting viable seeds can be an issue. Suzanne said Sprouts Alive were the ones she found that will sprout. Now read how at Sprout People.

Soak 2/3 cup of seeds in cool water for 2-8 hours.

Drain off soak water. Do not ever soak again.

Rinse very thoroughly.

Drain thoroughly.

Keep your Sprouter in a relatively low light location.

Rinse and Drain thoroughly – with cool water every 8-12 hours.

Harvest when your seeds have tiny Roots, and eat or Refrigerate your crop.

You Will Need:

1 cup sprouted and rinsed sesame seeds

4 cups filtered water

1 tsp vanilla extract

Sweetener of choice is optional…. 1 Tbsp raw honey or high-grade maple syrup or 2 soaked pitted dates, a dash of stevia, or monk fruit.

Optional:  Pinch of Himalayan salt or high-quality sea salt

How to Make It:

Add 1 cup of water  to blender and blend for two minutes, til sesame seeds are pulverized. Then add the other 3 cups of milk and mix. Strain through nut milk bag or cheesecloth into a bowl.

If there is pulp, you can discard or compost pulp or save to use in other recipes.

This delicious healthy milk will store in the refrigerator a few days.  Just shake before serving. (You can heat it before drinking as well.)

Organic Cranberry Sauce, No-cooking!

Use organic ingredients!
WOW, this is so good. You can replace the cranberries with a variety of other berries, including the sour golden berry or cherries!   You can use dried berries that you soak first.  Soak the dried fruit, then soak the chia in that juice. It is SO GOOD.

16 ounces of fresh cranberries (rinse them, pick out any soft ones),
10 pitted dates, (You could use maple syrup or honey if you like the flavor better)
1/2 cup soaked chia seeds ( rinsed the seeds, then soaked 1/2 cup of chia seeds in 1 cup of water. then put 1/2 of the soaked seeds into the blender.)
1 peeled, deseeded, deveined navel orange
in the blender til they are sauce!
I added a few drops of stevia to sweeten a bit more.
Stores well in a glass jar.
